Berlin, July 2011. The architectural practice designyougo – architects and designers received the prestigious Green Good Design Award 2011 for their project "Casa Locarno". Casa Locarno is a villa with a view over Lago Maggiore, Switzerland and has been completed recently.
Sustainability and low energy standards have been key criteria for the architects from day one. The implementation of highest aesthetic standards and sustainability performance result in outstanding building design.
One key feature is the omission of a conventional heating system. Instead, solar hot water from the roof collectors harvests all the required energy for low temperature under floor heating and hot water - throughout the year. During wintertime’s coldest and cloudy days the fireplace contributes to the required energy, which is conserved in a large water tank in the basement.

Designyougo has adopted a visual working method that innovates the way architectural projects are being designed and communicated.
No drawings - just visuals! We love visualisations! We think plans and sections are a great tool to describe how a building should be build. But for presentations and discussions about design, photorealistic visualisations are just perfect. With you - our clients - we want to talk about the atmosphere of spaces and all those details that create fantastic architecture materials, lighting and proportions. You can expect our presentations to be worked out to the highest standards, from day one!
